BEST OF FASHION WEEK FALL 2018 WITH FASHION IN AFTERLIFE

As another season comes to a close, we present a closer look at some of our favorite new collections—from a slightly different perspective. We asked the stylist Britt Berger, the creator behind the continuously evolving conceptual fashion project Fashion in Afterlife, to create some of her trademark collages combining the latest looks and her ideal subjets: fabulous dead celebrities.

Created entirely by hand, Berger’s works offer a playfully handmade response to an increasingly digitized world and celebrate a sense of excitement about the past that can sometimes be missing in the fickle world of fashion. Freed from the usual logistical
constraints of a fashion editorial, Berger is able to tap into the idea that drives all of fashion, the ability to bring your dreams to life.
