HANDLED WITH CARE
In the arts, glass has had a varied history as a medium. Millennia old, it has been used in beautifully ornate cathedral windows and delicate objects from Venice, its transparency and fragility making it a fascinating material to work with. Glass is also common to us in its everyday forms, as the windows we look through, the glasses we drink from, the screens we peer into. In our latest online feature, photographer Joanna McClure and stylist Haidee Findlay-Levin explore some artists like Thaddeus Wolfe and Jeff Zimmerman who work at the shifting boundary between art and design, producing creations with fascinating shapes and textures that reflect an uncommon eye. Their unique works are shown against a mélange of packing materials meant to protect, here used to display them at their uncanny best.
