CHRISTOPHER KANE & J BRAND

Young designer Christopher Kane burst onto the fashion scene in 2006 with a début collection that featured a single silhouette—a mini-bandage dress—repeated thirty-two times in a riot of neon shades and intricate detailing. Now Kane brings that same bright sensibility to his new collaboration with denim label J Brand, in an initial Resort collection available just in time for the coming gray winter days. Kane’s jeans come in a three-pack of highlighter shades—pink, green, and orange—with a flattering flared cut and matching denim jackets. Cutoff options are available, along with crisp white and black jeans cut tight to the leg. As in that first collection, Kane demonstrates once more that he knows how to take a simple silhouette and breathe fresh life into it again and again.
