PAMELA BERNIER

Hometown: Montreal, Canada

How were you discovered?
I was discovered shopping in a Walmart when I was fourteen, in a small town called Gatineau outside Montreal.

What was the highlight of your Fall 2014 show season?
I did Diane von Furstenberg, that was pretty fun. I loved doing Donna Karan and Prabal Gurung was really fun also, the jewelry was really awesome. Everything was really nice to do, it was exciting.

If you had to perform in a talent show, what would your talent be?
Oh boy, do I have a talent? I guess standup comedy, I don’t know. I’d try to dance maybe.

If you could be any fictional character, who would you be?
Stewie from Family Guy! He’s evil but really smart. I would love to be him.

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A vet, but then I realized I was scared of needles and blood, so now I want to be a biochemist.

Modeling involves a lot of waiting around. What do you do to pass the time?
I usually read books. I just finished Perfume, by Patrick Süskind, and now I am just looking for another one. I just bought Less Than Zero. Sometimes I find it difficult to read because it has to be something that I can connect with otherwise I find it boring. When I read Perfume, I started when I was in Paris and it was even better because I could imagine everything happening there.

YSAUNNY BRITO

Hometown: Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

How were you discovered?
The Elite Model Look contest.

What was the highlight of your Fall 2014 show season?
The best part was that it was my first time. I was so excited that I did such big shows: Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Alexander McQueen.

If you could be any fictional character, who would you be?
Sandra Bullock in Miss Congeniality. I love her movies and I like her personality. She’s funny.

KATE GRIGORIEVA

Hometown: Saint Petersburg, Russia

How were you discovered?
I was on Russia’s Next Top Model.

What was the highlight of your Fall 2014 show season?
The Donna Karan show in New York. It was my first show in New York and it was so exciting to open the show.

If you had to perform in a talent show, what would your talent be?
I would dance. I studied ballroom dancing for ten years.

If you could be any fictional character, who would you be?
As a child, I always wanted to be a mermaid so I could explore the underwater world.

What would you be doing now if you weren’t modeling?
I would be working in marketing. My major in university was marketing.

Modeling involves a lot of waiting around. What do you do to pass the time?
I love reading. I’m currently reading a great mystery novel called The Doomsday Key.

KASIA JUJECZKA

Hometown: Ropczyce, Poland

How were you discovered?
A scout from my agency in Poland saw me on the train, and she sent me a message on Facebook with an invitation to meet at the agency.

What was the highlight of your Fall 2014 show season?
The best moment was when I opened the Christian Dior haute couture show in Paris because it was the first show of my life.

If you had to perform in a talent show, what would your talent be?
Singing.

If you could be any fictional character, who would you be?
Alice in Wonderland. It’s Wonderland, so you can do anything.

What would you be doing now if you weren’t modeling?
I would probably be studying neurobiology.

HARLETH KUUSIK

Hometown: Estonia

How were you discovered?
I sent my photos to my mother agent in Estonia because I was so tired of seeing all the people I know from Estonia becoming models. I’ve wanted to be a model since I was really young.

If you had to perform in a talent show, what would your talent be?
I had to do a talent show once at summer camp and I had no idea what to do because I don’t really have any great talents. I wrote a poem about the camp and read that, and I would do that again.

If you could be any fictional character, who would you be?
An alien for sure. I have so many reasons why: I have so many jokes about aliens with my friends, I can make a great alien face, and they are cute!

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a model. I used to watch FashionTV with my mom and I always told her, “One day you will see me walking there!” I wasn’t that serious at the time, but now my mom still watches and she sees me all the time.

Modeling involves a lot of waiting around. What do you do to pass the time?
I play solitaire on my phone or just talk with other people. Models are very glamorous, aren’t they?

SOPHIE TOUCHET

Hometown: Gatineau, Canada

How were you discovered?
I did a shoot just for fun with a photographer and he wanted to send my pictures out. Two weeks later, I was in Toronto meeting with my mother agent, and two weeks after that, I was in New York for fashion week. It all started really fast.

What was the highlight of your Fall 2014 show season?
I really liked the Marc by Marc Jacobs show. The stage, the clothes, the music, everything was so nice. It was my favorite show to walk.

If you had to perform in a talent show, what would your talent be?
My talent? I can do backflips. I did gymnastics, so I guess it would be something like that.

If you could be any fictional character, who would you be?
Alice in Wonderland. All my friends know I’m obsessed with her.

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a paramedic driver. They save people’s lives. I actually registered in school to do that. I changed my mind, but for a long time I wanted to do that.

What would you be doing now if you weren’t modeling?
I would probably be at university studying psychology. Before I started modeling, I was thinking about going to school for that.

Modeling involves a lot of waiting around. What do you do to pass the time?
I do Sudoku all the time, on the train, waiting for castings. It’s the only app I have on my phone. I’m good at it now!

LIEKE VAN HOUTEN

Hometown: Arnhem, the Netherlands

How were you discovered?
A friend signed me up for the Elite Model Look contest and I won the Dutch edition. I went to Shanghai for the international finals and I was in the top fifteen so I got a contract with Elite.

What was the highlight of your Fall 2014 show season?
Either Dolce & Gabbana or Chloé. I spent a lot of time at Chloé and I love the clothes and I love the people. At Dolce & Gabbana, I just felt like a princess. The makeup and hair were beautiful.

If you could be any fictional character, who would you be?
I want to be a minion from Despicable Me.

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a teacher because I like kids so much. I like to help people, so that’s what I want to do in the future, a job where I can help people, maybe in a hospital or in a school with kids.

EMMA WALDO

Hometown: New York, New York

How were you discovered?
I was walking out of school and Douglas Perrett was there and he scouted me. He gave me a card and I was really sketched out at first, but then I check it out and it seemed legitimate, so I emailed him and it took off from there.

What was the highlight of your Fall 2014 show season?
That’s a really hard question, I had so much fun. I think it might have been Chanel. I feel like all the girls will say that, but it was just so much fun. Our driver dropped us off and when we walked into a supermarket, we were like, “What the hell? We’re not in the right place.” Then we turned around and saw this box of Chanel spaghetti, and I was like, “Wow!”

If you could be any fictional character, who would you be?
I would be Hermione Granger. I have the same initials as Emma Watson. I would love to be part of the Harry Potter series.

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Pop star, that was one. Then an astronaut, of course. Then a baker because I love to bake. Then I wanted to be a candy maker like Willy Wonka. Now I’m into anthropology and archeology and paleoanthropology.

What would you be doing now if you weren’t modeling?
I’d be graduating from high school. Well, I’m going to graduate in a month, but I’d be going to college.
